In 2018, Chandra's noble mission manifested in the form of the Boi Toi Hoi Choi Free Coaching School — an education intervention model solving rural dropout crises among first-generation learners across the Asansol & Purulia tribal belts. At its inception, three coaching schools began to shine a beacon of hope, with Chandra architecting the holistic remedial retention curriculum, rural study kit logistics, and volunteer teacher frameworks.

Chandra Sekhar Kundu, a professor at Asansol Engineering College, witnessed street children scavenging for food outside the college canteen in 2016 and knew he had to act. He began collecting excess canteen food and distributing meals to the needy — this was the seed that grew into FEED.

However, the unforeseen challenges of the Corona lockdown couldn't halt Chandra's resolve. Instead, he saw an opportunity to expand his noble cause, and today, 21 functioning coaching schools thrive across the Asansol & Purulia tribal belts, directly transforming the educational trajectories of 1,200+ first-generation learners.

Pioneering a truancy breakthrough, Chandra established the mother-driven Whistle Blowing Club to ensure timely morning school mobilization, achieving 95%+ daily attendance and zero morning truancy — resulting in rescued dropouts achieving a 100% pass rate in Class 10 Madhyamik state exams.

In 2021, he turned a dream into reality by acquiring land in Palashdiha, Asansol, to build a permanent haven for underprivileged children. Within its walls and across centers, a vibrant library of 1,500+ books coupled with robotics and science came to life. Beyond academics, FEED mentors 70+ tribal girls in football (Bengal Tigress), operates 2 karate units (Matangini Vahini), and empowers village mothers via the Yapan handicraft cluster.

Through his unwavering dedication, Chandra Sekhar Kundu has transformed the lives of over 1,200+ students across 21 schools, breaking barriers of economic disparity and fostering a harmonious environment where dreams have no limits. His journey stands tall as a testament to the triumph of compassion, resilience, and the power of education.
